PREVIEW | TORQUAY (A)

Following the postponement on New Year’s day Eastleigh will make the 130 mile trip South on Saturday to face bottom of the table Torquay.

It presents the Spitfires with an opportunity to put back-to-back wins together for the first time this season, plus extend their unbeaten league run to six games.

Ahead of The Spitfires first away trip of 2018 the squad are in a buoyant mood according to assistant manager, Ben Strevens.

“Once again we’ve had another really positive week on the training ground and the confidence is starting to flow following the result at the weekend.”

Strevens reiterated the importance of securing the back-to-back victories.

“It’s been a big topic throughout the season – getting the back-to-back wins – and I believe we can do it on Saturday.

“The boys are positive and we’re raring to go.”
