Craig first came to the Silverlake in 2001 having impressed as a forward for neighbouring Hampshire League team, Pirelli General. He quickly settled at the higher level and soon moved onto then Isthmian Premier outfit Basingstoke Town.

A goal ratio of better than one a game over three years at the Camrose Ground attracted the attention of Conference Premier side Stevenage Borough. During his one term at Broadhall Way, Craig had temporary spells back at Eastleigh, and then with Gravesend & Northfleet.

Subsequent to leaving Stevenage, Craig spent two years with Woking, who he left for Grays Athletic. Rushden & Diamonds (on loan) and Oxford United provided further stops on an itinerant career path before Craig was recruited by football league club Exeter City in 2008.

Two years in Devon, including time away at both Barnet and Rotherham United, were concluded with a move to Crawley Town. During a notable campaign with the West Sussex club, Craig scored 12 goals in a Conference Premier winning season and played in a 1-0 F.A. Cup 5th round defeat at Manchester United.

Ahead of 2011/2012 Craig signed for Newport County, although Luton Town borrowed his services for the latter part of that term.

A strong and brave target man, Craig’s selfless work was vital to his team during his first year back as a Spitfire in 2012/2013. He will be seeking to maintain his end of season striking form, most marked for back-to-back hat-tricks scored in April.
