The Spitfires take on Torquay United this weekend in the National League, and will be looking to pick up back to back wins on the english riviera. Here’s all of the info needed for visiting supporters travelling to Plainmoor.
GETTING TO THE GROUND
According to the Torquay United official club website –
By Train: Torre Station is the nearest rail stop to Plainmoor. There is then a 20-25 minute walk for those wanting a slightly challenging walk to Plainmoor.
By Car: The new South Devon Link Road has aided fans getting to Plainmoor. It runs from Newton Abbot to Torquay and is a much-needed improvement for home and away fans.
There are various streets around the ground where parking is free.
On match day, tickets can be purchased on the day. These are priced:
Concession (Over 65s & NUS Card Holders) £15

Programmes at Plainmoor are priced at £3 each.
The supporters club ‘Boots & Laces’ behind the main stand allows away supporters.
The George Inn on Babbacombe Road is around a ten minute walk away from the ground – whereas on Princes Street is the Hanburys Fish & Chip shop which has on occasion won national awards.
Also on Babbacombe Road is the Dog & Duck which welcomes away fans as well.
