Eastleigh Football Club are delighted to announce their pre season programme which includes four prestigious fixtures against Football League opposition.

Reporting back to training on Thursday 29th June, the first fixture that the side will play is in Saturday 8th July when Sky Bet League One side A F C Wimbledon visit The Silverlake Stadium for a 3pm kick off. Managed by Neal Ardley, A F C Wimbledon finished fifteenth in their Division this season just finished. Included within their ranks is former Eastleigh favourite Stuart Douglas who is now their physiotherapist.

A week later on 15th July we have League Two champions and local rivals Portsmouth visiting us for a pre season fixture. Manager Paul Cook guided Portsmouth to the championship last season having been on the fringe of automatic promotion until the final couple of weeks and then taking the championship in the final game.

Seven days further on and from the other end of the League Two table we welcome Newport County who pulled off a miracle escape last season having been rooted to the bottom of the table at Christmas but by winning their last game of the season they managed to keep their Football League status. Included within the Newport squad will be ex Spitfires David Pipe and Jamie Turley.

The final home pre season game is on Friday 28th July with a 7.45pm kick off against League One champions Sheffield United, who finished fourteen points clear of second placed Bolton Wanderers. This will be the Sheffield United’s last fixture before they start their Championship campaign with manager Chris Wilder already busy in the transfer market.

To compliment the home fixtures, Eastleigh are also due to travel to meet Basingstoke Town on Tuesday 11th July at 7.45pm, Blackfield & Langley on Tuesday July 18th at 7pm and A F C Stoneham on Tuesday 1st August at 7.45pm which is to coincide with A F C Stoneham switching on their new floodlights.

Prices for admission for the home fixtures which will include a special bundle deal will be announced next week, as well as the date for the Eastleigh Football Club Annual Fun Day.
